A video released by Wanderlei Silva late on Friday (19) promises to shake the backstage of MMA, especially the UFC. No large public demonstrations since the episode where you just cut the fight against Chael Sonnen to escape a drug test, Wand decided to break the silence and did not hold back. In more than 13 minutes, "The Axe Murderer" has heavily criticized the Ultimate and the way the organization treats its fighters and announced he is leaving the ring.

In the early gravaçãoWanderlei presented his own version for his cut from the UFC 175 The curitibano said he had not physically able to perform at the event or even on the first date set for his fight against Sonnen, May 31. Wand said he was pressured by the organization to accept the fight and he was offered a large sum of money as compensation. At this time, the fighter took to cause the UFC, saying he was amazed at the value, as the athletes of the event are so underpaid.
Then the "Mad Dog" cited the case of Renan Barao and was furious. According to Wand, the UFC itself was responsible for what happened to the Brazilian, but his main complaint was to the way the organization treated the former champion. "This revolt athletes and left me very upset. That really made me think in a different way about this sport. This is taking me the will to fight. I have no more desire to rise in the Octagon because of statements like this. To see how the athlete is being treated. Because I do not have decent stage. A stage where the athlete is respected, can go there and win or lose he is treated the same way, "fired. "Since you are not making money, you should give respect," he added then.
Additionally, Wand questioned the conditions under which athletes are subjected to fight and the responsibility of the event on them. "Who will take care of these athletes in the future? You will take care of us then? For we are using as well, to make lots of money ... Because this event earns a lot of money. You do not respect the athlete, the athlete you do not pay, you do not take care of the athlete, you do not give anything for the athlete. You give only crumb and lack of respect. But now enough! "He said.
Finally, Wanderlei showed very moved and said he is leaving the sport. "It is with very heavy heart. I'm very sad today. Today is a sad day. Because unfortunately this organization took me the will to fight. I can not do this anymore. I can no longer be treated this way by you. And today, with muto regret, I come here declare my withdrawal from the ring. Starting today Wanderlei Silva does not fight anymore. Just my career, "sentenced" Mad Dog ".
Despite the wording of the charges made by the fighter until the closing of this matter, the organization of the Ultimate had not officially ruled on the matter. In their social networks, since the publication of the video, Wanderlei has replicated several messages of fans supporting their decision.
